As you scroll down the right side of the Blog you will come to the itinerary for this trip.
We leave on December 15 for Miami, Florida where we will spend a few days before our adventure begins.
After boarding the Crystal Serenity on December 2,1 we will sail the Caribbean and return back to Miami. From Miami we will transit the Panama Canal as we head to Los Angeles. From Los Angeles, we will sail due West and this long voyage will emphasize the Pacific Ocean Region. After stops in Hawaii and a couple of other places we will sail to Australia, followed by several stops at various ports of call throughout Southeast Asia. On our return, we will stop in Alaska (it will be cold), Western Canada and San Francisco before we arrive back to Los Angeles.
We are taking a lot of luggage with us, and we do mean a lot. This is not only because of the length of the voyage but also because of the climates we are sailing. We needed clothing for the warm/hot weather climates while also needing weather to keep us warm when we reach colder weather climates in Mainland China, Japan, Russia, Alaska and Western Canada.
This photo says it all. Missing from the photo are Keith's Camera Case and Anne Marie's purse.
We are looking forward to our pre-crusie stay in Miami. Miami is much nicer and has come along way to the Miami of the late 1960's thru much of the 1990's.
They have added art work tn an area that we frequently pass by on many of our long walks during our stay.
We sometimes walk from the hotel several miles to the cruise ship terminal so we can see what ships are in port and it also becomes a nice destination for us to walk to.
Many of these buildings were constructed over the past five or so years.
We plan to take several long walks while in Miami and we will use the time to pick up several items that we either can't or prefer not to take with us on the airline flights, but will need for the cruise.
We will miss and be thinking about all of you while we are away.
Keith and Anne Marie
